Dr. McCabe has extensive experience involving this subject. He started his education in Toxicology when he obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology, after which point he received his doctorate in Microbiology and Immunology at Albany Medical College. His thesis focused on the effects that heavy metals can have on the body’s immune system.
After graduate school, Dr. McCabe went to the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. He completed his post-doctoral period in two years and returned to the U.S. to pursue his career in Academia. He started at Wayne State University in Michigan and went on to the Department of Environmental Medicine at the University of Rochester. He focuses his research primarily on metal-induced changes to the immune system.
