What is Dupixent?
Dupixent (dupilumab) is a prescription drug meant to treat several conditions, such as:
- Eczema
- Asthma
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps
The injectable drug binds to receptors to block proteins that are linked to inflammation. If you have struggled with inflammation-related health conditions, your doctor might have prescribed or recommended Dupixent to you.
Dupixent Linked to T-Cell Lymphoma
Although many patients have used Dupixent without incident, others have had concerning side effects and adverse events, including those that are not listed in the drug’s warning labels and use instructions. Perhaps most concerning, some medical experts and drug safety groups have noticed a potential link between Dupixent use and increased risk of developing cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. This disease is a type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) that occurs in the skin, usually manifesting as rashes, lesions, and tumors throughout the body, often close to the skin. CTCL can be extremely dangerous and permanently jeopardize the immune system.
Several recent and comprehensive studies (*see below) have linked Dupixent to CTCL or worsened CTCL symptoms. One study in 2024 found that people who used Dupixent had a 300% higher risk of getting CTCL than people who did not use it. Another study that year placed the risk increase at about 350%. More concerning still, another study in 2025 estimated that the average risk increase was 450%.
According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), potential indications of a CTCL complication related to Dupixent use mainly include:
- Moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis
- Moderate-to-severe asthma
- Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps
- Eosinophilic esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus)
- Prurigo nodularis/nodular prurigo (itchy nodular skin lesions)
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Chronic spontaneous urticaria (occurring as hives for more than six weeks and without a known allergy)
- Bullous pemphigoid (large fluid-filled blisters on the skin)
Who Can File a Dupixent Lawsuit?
You might be eligible to file a Dupixent lawsuit if:
- You used Dupixent continuously for at least one year after it was prescribed to you for an FDA-approved condition;
- You were later diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL); and,
- You have not missed your state’s statute of limitations (varies).
Importantly, Dupixent lawsuits are strictly concerned with CTCL diagnoses. If you have been diagnosed with cutaneous B-cell lymphoma (CBCL), other lymphomas or blood cancers, or other skin cancers, but not CTCL, then you could be ineligible to file a Dupixent lawsuit.
Call (916) 520-6639 or contact us online now to see if you are eligible to file a Dupixent lawsuit.
Who is Liable for Dupixent Injuries?
The two primary manufacturers and marketers of Dupixent are:
- Regeneron Pharmaceuticals
- Sanofi
Lawsuits have already been filed by people who have been diagnosed with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma after using Dupixent, and they have named both Big Pharma companies as the defendants. The lawsuits argue that the companies failed, and continue to fail, to warn patients and doctors alike about the potential risk of CTCL after using Dupixent. As many claimants have pointed out, the lengthy drug data provided to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about Dupixent doesn’t mention CTCL risk at all.
Even if the drug manufacturers didn’t know about the risk, the argument could be made that they reasonably should have known if more safety research had been conducted before introducing the drug to the market. Also, strict product liability laws might allow injured Dupixent users like you to file a claim against Sanofi and/or Regeneron.
